Departure: 8:30 AM Return: 3:00 PM
We navigate the Preguiças River toward Caburé Beach. The river’s name originates from the many three-toed sloths (bichos-preguiças) that once inhabited the riverside forests, as well as its calm waters influenced by the ebb and flow of the tides. Along the way, you will enjoy a landscape of lush palms and mangroves.
Vassouras (Pequenos Lençóis): Our first stop. Enjoy free time to see the capuchin monkeys in the mangroves next to the beach (Please do not feed the monkeys).
Fishermen Villages: We pass by the traditional villages of Espadarte, Morro do Boi, and Moitas, with their stunning dunes and beaches.
Mandacaru & the Lighthouse: Visit the Preguiças Lighthouse for a privileged 360-degree view of the dunes, the river, the ocean, and the typical local vegetation.
Caburé Beach: The speedboat continues to Caburé, a unique peninsula situated between the Preguiças River and the Atlantic Ocean. We stop for lunch (not included), where local restaurants serve excellent seafood. After resting in hammocks, you can take a walk along the shore or by the riverbanks.
Important Notes:
Lunch: The lunch stop is at Caburé Beach (not included).
Safety First: Never remove your life jacket when swimming in the river or the sea.
ATV Warning: Quad bikes (ATVs) are often offered for rent at Caburé Beach. Caetés Expedições does not recommend renting them and is not responsible for any accidents involving this equipment, as this is an illegal practice in the area.
Swimming Safety: The sea at Caburé can be rough with hidden undertows or drop-offs (porões) caused by the tides. For your safety and to avoid the risk of drowning, we strongly recommend that you stay close to the shore and do not let the water go above your waist.
